In certain situations, you want immediate access to your camera's live stream, for example when a door is opened while nobody is home or when a button-based doorbell is pressed. With Controller for HomeKit, you can build custom notifications that open the camera view directly.
Start Event
First add the desired start event. In this example, a single button press at the front door triggers the workflow.
Steps
Add a "Notification" Step
Add a notification step, set a title, and under actions choose "Open View" with the correct camera. Mark it with the star icon so tapping the notification executes it immediately.
Final Overview
As soon as someone presses the button, a notification is sent and tapping it opens the live camera feed instantly.
